We had a very enlightening experience with Shaun who provided all the information we needed regarding the eventual placing of our mum in Aged Care. We were not aware of the implications of selling her home prior to her going in. The money from the sale would be classed as an asset, severely affecting and increasing the fees she would be charged means tested once in care, she would also incur a reduction of more than half of her pension. These are just 2 of the issues Shaun told us about, but there’s more!!! It’s a minefield we won’t be stepping into now we have this valuable information.
